He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Clark and Matilda "Tillie" Frisbie Clark; and his siblings, Thomas Jr., William, Fred, Dorothy Quick, Anna Mae Jenkins and Cora Milk.

He is survived by: his children, Michele Jenkins (Thomas), Diane Collarini (Richard) and James Clark Jr.; his grandchildren, Brittany Jenkins, Kayla Silverberg (Jesse), Nina Collarini and Ethan Clark; and his siblings, Joseph Clark and Shirley Tucker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
