He is survived by: his children, Robert M. Shirey (Kathy) of Jersey Shore, Rodney E. Shirey of Linden, Ryan T. Shirey of Linden and Robin A. Bower (Fred) of Linden; and his brother David L. Shirey (Beverly) of Linden. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
