Melva A. Schon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melva A. Schon of Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melva A. Schon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Harold and Mary Elizabeth Courter (Baker); and her siblings, James, Richard, E. Walter Courter and DorlaDean Etzweiler Walker.
She is survived by: her children, LeRoy Paulhamus Rodney (Glenna), Ronald Paulhamus (Sondra), Bernardine Hess (Chris) and Tina Myers (Lee); and her stepchildren, Michael Schon (Ronda), Matthew Schon (Louanne) and Christina Rogers (Chris). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Knight-Confer Funeral Home (1914 Memorial Ave, Williamsport, PA 17701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Melva's name to the Susquehanna Health Foundation, c/o Home Care and Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701; Quiggleville United Methodist Church, 2055 State Route 973 W., Cogan Station, PA 17728; or the Hepburn Township Volunteer Fire Company, 615 East Route 973 Highway, Cogan Station, PA 17728.
