He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardell Bierly and Margaret Marshall; his wife Marilyn M. Sweeney; his brothers, David and Ronald Bierly; his son-in-law Michael Welch; and his niece Beverly Sweeney.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret B. Welch of Jersey Shore and Michael A. Bierly of Jersey Shore; his grandchildren, Corrie W. Roadarmel (Luke), Benjamin M. Welch (Victoria), Sophia M. Bierly and Rachel M. Bierly; and his great grandchildren, Ruby Roadarmel, Remi Welch and Slate Welch.
