Ara R. Shakarjian Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ara R. Shakarjian of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Shakarjian and Veronica Shakarjian (Hamparian); his wife Virginia; and his brother George. He is survived by: his children, Mark Shakarjian of Warminster, Daniel Shakarjian (Kris) of Horsham and Christine Grosstephan (Michael) of Burbank, CA.; his granddaughters, Victoria Lyons (Rob), Karyn Shakarjian, Emily Grosstephan and Kaitlyn Grosstephan; his great grandchildren, Noelle Lyons, Scarlette Lyons and Robert James Lyons; his siblings-in-law, Edward Garabed (Nancy) and Zevart Shakarjian; and his brother Diran. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
