It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Latona of Jenkins Township, Pennsylvania, born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Gelso and Rosalie Gelso (Giordano); her husband Leo Latona; her son Joseph Latona; and her siblings, Philip Gelso, Sr., Sam Gelso, Ross Gelso, Charles Gelso, Jr., Grace Scarantino and Mary Policare.
She is survived by: her son Charles (Corinne Latona); her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Latona; her grandchildren, Leo Latona, Matthew Latona, Joy Latona, Charles Latona, Sarah Barber, Joseph Latona, Vincent Latona, Michelle Morgan, Trudy Mahasky, Lisa Latona, Jamie Latona, Tina Daley, Amy Latona and Angela Speace; her sister Josephine Giacometti; and her brother-in-law Peter Latona (Dora). She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
