He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick McDermott and Frances McDermott of Dunmore, PA.; his siblings, Marguerite Miklus and John Paul McDermott; and his nephew Joseph McDermott.
He is survived by: his friend Bob; his siblings, Patrick McDermott and Trudy; and his siblings-in-law, George Phillips and Alice McDermott. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home (318 E Drinker St, Dunmore, PA 18512). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (801 Taylor Ave, Scranton, PA 18510). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Dunmore Cemetery (400 Church St, Dunmore, PA 18512).
