He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Michael Fortier and Teresa Fortier; his spouse Kathleen McDonald-Fortier; his siblings, Julia Catarano, Anna Catarano, George Fortier and Ronald Fortier; and his nieces and nephews, John, Michael, Christopher and Theresa.
Interment will be held privately at the St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either, Covenant House, New York City or Smile Train in Michael's memory.
