She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McLain and Grace Chambers McLain; and her siblings, Leroy, Robert, Chester, Loyd McLain, Betty Williams, Evelyn Smith and Ester McLain.

She is survived by: her husband Loren "Skip" Lown; her sons, John Maurer of Katy, TX, James Maurer (Trudy), Paul Maurer (Lorna) and David Maurer (Becky); her stepchildren, Loren Lown Jr., Jean Marie, Ronald Lown, Roger Lown, Lauren, Kathleen White, Larry and Janet Marie Boguski; her siblings, Gene McLain and Betty Alt; and her brother-in-law Rev. Ken Alt. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

“Dear Aunt June and family, Bud ,(Lester) and I, Nancy McLain are so very sorry for your loss. The last time we saw her she was still living in Carbondale, and we had such a great time reminiscing about the McLain family. I used to see her at the Lodge Hall in Waymart when would travel to the lodge hall. Please know that we are thinking of all of you at this difficult time. We will be giving a donation to the American Cancer Society. May God Bless all of you, sincerely, Nancy and (Bud) McLain”
