He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Makel Sr. and Lucille Makel (Buday). He is survived by: his wife Carole Schiffman-Makel; his sons, Chad Schiffman (Amanda Dudash) of Forward Twp and Ross Schiffman of Forward Twp; his niece Ehrin Murry (Bill) of Forward Twp; his great-niece Abigail Murry; and his sister-in-law Diane Gunther of Carrick.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home (221 N 2nd Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037). A masonic service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home Chapel (221 N 2nd Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037).
