She was predeceased by: her parents, Zula Jarrett (Fogleman) and Edgar Jarrett; and her husband Everett Scott. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, she requested that donations be made to the St. Jude's Foundation—a cause close to her heart.
