He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd R. Montgomery and Anna Bowman Montgomery; his wives, Edna Montgomery and Diana Montgomery; his siblings, Sally Piper and Robert Montgomery; his children, William G. "Lumpy" Montgomery, Donald F. Montgomery and Annmarie Montgomery; and his grandson Paul Stamp, III.
He is survived by: his sons, Wes Montgomery, Randy Montgomery (Heidi), Ed Montgomery and Jim Kies. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
