He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Diehl and Sarah Davis Diehl; his son Joseph; his grandsons, Matthew and Joseph Diehl, Jr.; and his siblings, Elmer, Joseph, Edwin Diehl, Dorothy Sheridan, Betty Kochan, Evelyn Speranzo and Joann Diehl.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald Diehl Jr. (MaryAnn) of Hamlin and Leonard Diehl (Judy) of Jefferson Twp; his granddaughter Pamela; his grandson-in-law Robert of Jefferson Twp; and his granddaughter Valerie Stoner (John Lindquist) of Thornhurst. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
