He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Fondrk and Anne Daniel Fondrk; and his brother Victor Fondrk. He is survived by: his wife Sherri Ankney Fondrk; his children, Tyler Fondrk of Pittsburgh and Tori Fondrk Pipak (Richard) of Pittsburgh; and his sister Susan Fondrk Austin (Michael) of Norfolk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
