He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carter and Mary DeVan Carter; his grandmother Sarah DeVan; his aunts and uncles, Douglas, Lawrence Carter, Robert, Carl DeVan, Henrietta DeVan Vincent, Ora DeVan Moore and Gladys DeVan Shelton; and his cousins, John Walton, Jimmy Moore, Joseph DeVan and Charles Phillips (Chuckie).
He is survived by: his daughter Tika M. Carter of Jeannette; his granddaughter Linsey L. Harris; his great grandchild Mackenzie Daniels; his grandson Timothy Moore; his niece Shawnee Dunn Hurley; and his cousins, Jaliea DeVan and Carl DeVan. He is also survived by 2 great niece and a great nephew.
