He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Eakin and Marie Eakin (Altman); and his spouse Shirley Friedman Eakin. He is survived by: his siblings, Edie Bianco of Greensburg and Kenny Eakin of Greensburg; his children, Carol Eakin Patton (Gary Henderson) of Jeannette, Kelley Eakin Herman (Albert) of Jeannette, Suzanne Eakin DiDonato (Richard) of North Huntingdon and Shari Eakin (Terese Easterday) of Chesapeake Beach, MD.; his grandchildren, Stephen Riddle, Brandon Herman (Kim), Christian Herman, Michael DiDonato, Matthew DiDonato (Amanda) and Mallory DiDonato; and his great grandchildren, Franklin, Valerie, Ella, Myla, Maddox, Madilyn and Shai.
