It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin D. R. Smith of Jeannette, Pennsylvania, born in Arona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Smith and Anna Smith (Oplinger); his former wife Emma Jane Smith (Cross); his wife Mildred Smith; his grandsons, Justin Smith and James Sherbine; and his siblings, Richard, Lloyd, Clyde Smith, Margaret Rodgers, Dorothy Loucks, Mildred Darnley, Elizabeth Dibble, Madeline Smeltzer and Anna Marie Greenawalt.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth James Smith (Becky), David Smith (Darla), Sharon Bolkovac (Palmer) and Joy Sherbine (Carl); and his stepson Eugene Smith. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
