With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Acklin (Jeannette, Pennsylvania), born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 27, 2020 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Acklin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George I. Schmucker and Harriet Gay Schmucker; her husband Donald J. Acklin; and her sister Eileen Sunder. She is survived by: her children, Janice Scarlett (Joe) of Monroeville and Robert Acklin (Linda) of Strawberry, AZ; and her grandchildren, Christine Cepec (Joe), Michael Scarlett (Beth), Kyle Acklin and Brian Swank. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Due to current pandemic guidelines, a limited number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time. Face masks must be worn and social distancing will be practiced.
