He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Matt and Anna Mento Matt; his wife Thelma Gordon Matt; and his brother Louie Matt. He is survived by: his children, Russell Matt (Lisa) of Jeannette, Carl Matt Jr. of Jeannette, Pamela Matt of Jeannette and Paula Pelerose (Tim) of Greensburg; and his grandchildren, Amanda Standish (John), Anthony Matt (Nicole), Michael Matt, Kayla Wallace, Mallory Clary (Jay), Krista Wallace, Teno Pelerose (Bethany) and Abby Pelerose. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
