She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Shuster and Wilda Shuster (Baughman); her daughter Angel Amber Long; and her sister Kathleen "Tootie" Hoff. She is survived by: her husband Barry G. Johnston; her grandchildren, Todd "TJ" Lewis Jr., Ashante Lewis and Mirk'le Lewis; and her great grandchild Finley Lewis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
