He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sr. Pierce and Christina Long Pierce; and his wife Shirley R. Gunther Pierce. He is survived by: his daughters, Lory Gurksnis (Thomas) of Apopka Fl, Christine Streussnig (Michael) of Jeannette, Sherene Morris (Keith) of Jeannette and Cindy Gray (Craig Piper) of Acme; his grandchildren, Brandi, Anthony, Tommy, Haley and Breyanna; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Avery, Liliana, Lila, Knox "Little Private" and Danlex; and his sister Constance Berkley of Greensburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
