He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Butwel and Benedykta Butwel; his wife Catherine (O'Neill) of George's Catholic Church; his sister-in-law Madeline O'Neill; and his siblings, Walter Butwel (Cecilia) and Alfreda Koltalo (Edward).
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan A. Goodwin (Daniel) and Nancy C. Devlin (Thomas Jr.). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St Cyril of Jerusalem Building fund.
