He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Herholz and Pearl Herholz (Anderson); and his wife Jean Barry Herholz. He is survived by: his children, Michael Herholz (Darlene), Pamela Ault (Robert), Susan Huffer (Keith) and Terrie Baker (John); and his grandchildren, Mike Ault (Jenelle), Holly Herholz, Kelly Oates (Ike), Heidi Herholz, Jeannie Toth (Eric), John Huffer (Amy), Paul Bowman (Kali) and Tyler Huffer (Amber). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
