He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Gorentz and Mary Gorentz (Cerne); and his wife Amelia Ann Gorentz. He is survived by: his daughters, Jacquelyn Sayers (Calvin), Leslie DeRosa (Jerry) and Amy Sartori (Randall); his siblings, George Gorentz and Flora Gorentz; his grandchildren, Clair, Nathan, Marisa, Calvin C., Sean and Ashley; and his great grandchildren, Kailyn, Ethan, Taylor, Anthony and Hank.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
