He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Peters and Myrtle Peters (Graham); and his siblings, June George Galensky, Eugene Peters Sr. and Harry Peters.

He is survived by: his wife Vivian Peters (Reilly); his children, Lenis G. Peters Jr. (Ronni) of Winchester, VA, Charlene Laird (William) of Larimer, Michael Peters Sr. (Tammy) of Paintertown and Daniel Peters Sr. (Christy) of North Versailles; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Kimberly, Michael Jr., Tanner, Kylee, Daniel Jr., Brianna and Gionna; and his brother Charles "Abe" Peters of Memphis, TN.. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
