He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis L. O'Connell and Nell O'Connell (Hensler); his wife Esther O'Connell (Dranzik); his siblings, Eleanor Swenson and Francis O'Connell; his children, Jackie Natale (Richard) of North Huntingdon, Dan O'Connell (Paula) of Uniontown, John O'Connell Jr. (Janet Stegall) of Birmingham and Kevin O'Connell (Michelle) of North Huntingdon; his grandchildren, Nicole, Tony Natale, Dante, Courtney and Brittany O'Connell; his great grandchildren, Taylor and Cooper Natale; and his sister Eileen McHugh of Hempfield Township.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the National Kidney Foundation, 2403 Sidney St., Suite 230, Pittsburgh PA 15203.
