He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Evans and Lillian Evans (Coulson); his wife Audrey Jean Evans; his great grandchild Bennett Evans; and his siblings, Willis, Howard Evans and Narida Evans Rhodes.

He is survived by: his children, John Evans (Lorna), Ellen Evans Yagodzinksi (Frank) and Christine Evans Williams (Jim). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
