She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen M. Johnston and Elfriede Johnston; her son Jeffrey Lawson; and her sister Carole V. Johnston. She is survived by: her husband James W. Lawson; and her siblings, William Johnston of Virginia and Judith Morgan (Jim) of Maryland. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
