It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eli Basara (Irwin, Pennsylvania), born in Export, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melo Basara and Mary Basara (Tomick); his wife Dolores; his sons, Joseph and David; his son-in-law Scott Tyler; and his siblings, Lillian Basara, Mildred Bobich, Annie Easha, Pete Basara, Paul Basara, Nick Basara, Mike Basara and Katherine Basara.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Tyler (Basara), Mike Adam, Nick, Denise Basara, Michael Basara, Diane (Basara), Victor Britton, Jim and Gaylynn Basara; his grandchildren, Nikki Lynn (Basara), J. J. Long, Emily (Basara), Justin Killian, Mario, Valeria Basara, Simon Baker and David Britton; and his great grandchildren, Anthony, Alex Long, Sara Killian and Gabriella Basara. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
