With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bessie I. (Gongaware) Christenson of Irwin, Pennsylvania, born in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 25, 2024 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessiah Gongaware and Myrtle Gongaware (Billingsley); her husband Earl A. Christenson; and her siblings, Gertrude Lamison, Violet Loughner, Ella Holder, Elmer Gongaware and Leonard Gongaware.
She is survived by: her sister Naomi B. Kapelar of Irwin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
