He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary C. Smith Smith and Bennett Adam Raymond Smith; and his sister Linda DiLauro. He is survived by: his daughter Megan Vertes (Robert) of Irwin; his grandchildren, Bennett Dandar (Monique), Julia Gaudio (Sergio), Brad Dandar and Anastasia Vertes (Jesse); his brothers, Ron Smith, Ike Smith and David Cherry; and his former wife Melissa Snyder Smith of Irwin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
