With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anne Smiy of Irwin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 24, 2020 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anne Smiy to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Malazik and Mary Malazik; her husband Paul R. Smiy; and her sister Mary Lou Spozio. She is survived by: her children, David Smiy (Brenda) of Chesterfield, Patricia Smiy of Irwin and Linda Turner (Joseph) of Sewickley; her grandchildren, Allison Williams (Aaron), David Smiy Jr. (Katie), John Smiy and Jeffrey Turner; her great grandchildren, Grayson, Harper Williams, Adam and Landon Smiy; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Neal (Ed) of Germantown and Cathy Smiy of Fort Mill, S. C. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.
Following Anne's example of concern for others, her Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be private due to the current pandemic.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 305 2nd Street, Irwin, Pa. 15642; or a charity of your choice.
