He was predeceased by: his parents, Menace Adkins and Roxie Adkins; and his siblings, Pam Giltner and Jerry Adkins. He is survived by: his wife Connie Hill Adkins; his children, Kathryn Marchegiano, Jake Adkins (Crystal) and Stephanie Gailey (Daniel); his grandchildren, Kazmarie Haynes, Zyler Haynes, Jade Adkins, Cody Adkins, Cameron Adkins, Colton Adkins, Juliana Adkins, Alexis Gailey, Destiny Gailey and Lara Craft; his great grandchildren, Azelya Patton and Aila Patton; and his siblings, Patty Hurlburt and Robin Adkins (Sue).

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to UPMC Children's Hospital, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
