He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Blakely and Elizabeth James Blakely; and his siblings, Barbara Beck (Leroy), Colletta "Ted" Thomas (Robert), Jean Straitiff (W. Howard "Hud") and Hugh Blakely (June).

He is survived by: his wife Linda Blakely (Wilson); and his children, Debra Riddel (Thomas), Robin Blakely (Thomas Banks), Brenda Penrod (Richard), Kim Mendez (Julio) and Michael Boarts (Deanna).
