It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard E. Smith of Indiana, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Smith and Dorothy Smith; his brother William; his sister-in-law Linda Smith; his grandson Benjamin Stoker; and also, Michael, Margaret and Joel Schwietz.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia (Stanko); his children, Matthew Smith (Graziella "Grace") of Pittsburgh, Michele Poole (Timothy) of Carlisle, OH and Rebecca Smith of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Sidney Poole, Riley Tarter (Joshua), Daniele Smith (Daniel), Alexander Smith, Devon Stoker, Mackenzie Poole, Gabriella Smith and Paul Nichols; his brothers, Charles Smith (Betty) of Williamsport, PA and Arthur Smith of Reynoldsville, PA; and his siblings-in-law, Kent Stanko (Diann) of Hollidaysburg, PA, Marilyn Schaeffer of Indiana, PA and Michele Schwietz (Jeff) of Herndon, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
