He is survived by: his parents, Donald Merriman and Pauline Merriman Sr. (Kline); his wife Patricia Evelyn Merriman (Schloemer); his children, Evelyn Pauline Merriman and Anthony Michael Handa; his siblings, Brenda Merriman, Cindy Cornish (Todd), Donald Merriman Jr. (Gloribell), Ed Merriman, Robert Merriman (Heather) and Larry Merriman (Connie); and his nieces and nephews, Duncan Merriman-Mendez, Evan Cornish, Elizabeth Clowser (Zane), Fiorella Merriman-Mendez, Hannah, Olivia and Teagan Merriman.
