He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Yount and Evelyn Yount (Miller); and his sister Leonora (Tom). He is survived by: his spouse Palma Yount (Morris); his sons, Brian, Christopher (Nicole) and John; his grandchildren, Roman and Madeline Yount; and his sister Sheila Yount.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. (2702 Mt Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Association (http://heart.org.) in memory of James.
