He was predeceased by: his parents, John Berton and Vernie L. Sloniger; his siblings, Gene, Carl, Barry Sloniger, Golda Adaire Jamison, Lois Coleman and Margaret Van Horn; and his granddaughter Kara Elise Sloniger.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth; his son Mark (Stephanie Sloniger); his grandsons, Graham and Benjamin; and his siblings, Betty Lou Sloniger and Kenneth Sloniger. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and wonderful friends.
