She is survived by: her children, Todd Boring (Trish) and Erin Brooks (Justin); her grandchildren, Steven Boring, Gregory Boring, Jayce Brooks, Quentin Brooks, Xzavier Boring, Aiden Boring and Aunika Brooks; and her friend Viona Sesti "Grand-Ma Vi" of Indiana.
In 2009 Debra accepted a position with Westmoreland County Community College working as their Foundation Director from which she eventually retired.
