He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry P. Burket and Ethel Burket (Harr); his daughter Darla J. Burket; and his grandson Kai A. Burkett. He is survived by: his wife Gloria J. Weyandt; his children, Jack Jr. (Holly), Jonathan (Wendy), David (Cathy), Aaron (Marci), Holly Hathaway (Jeffrey Sr.) and Denitia Weyant (Jason); his son-in-law Craig Burket; and his siblings, Donald Harr (Betty), Jay Burket (Nancy) and Nancy Claycomb (Luther Dodson).
