He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Berkhimer and Marie Berkhimer; his brother Merle Prough; and his brother-in-law Jay Imler. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his grandchildren, Jason, Christian, Ryan and Kaitlyn; his sisters, Shirley of Heath and Donna of Queen; his nieces, Carolyn, Michelle and Linda of Ohio; and his nephew Wade Claar of State College.
