He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard S. Bitting and Freda M Bitting (Sparr); and his sisters, Barbara A. Masters and Donna L. Baker. He is survived by: his daughter Karen L. Marcy (Edward); his grandchildren, Alexa M. Willis and Nathan J. Brown; and his nephews, Douglas B. Masters (Beth), James J. Masters and Gary Baker (Connie). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
