He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Peterson and Florence Kirkman Peterson; his son-in-law Thomas "Tim" Bitting; and his sister Betty Drabic. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Fourney; his daughters, Diane Bitting, Barbara (Jim Fedele) and Marsha (Keith Stellfox); and his grandchildren, Katie Bitting, James Fedele, Nicholas Fedele, Emma Stellfox and Morgan Stellfox. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the South Renovo Fire Co., Station 28, South Renovo, PA 17764.
