He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd E. Shaffer and Tolva Shaffer (Miller); his wife Wilma June Shaffer (Bittner); and his siblings, Irene Dunbar, Winifred Christner, Mary Shaffer, Philomene Bonner and Ray Shaffer.
He is survived by: his son Kevin V. Shaffer (Stacy) of Manns Choice; his grandson Tanner Shaffer (Katlynn) of Alum Bank; his great grandchild Garrett Shaffer; and his siblings, Arden Shaffer and Jean McCoy of Hyndman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
