He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude B. Shaffer and Nellie Mae Shaffer (Bruck); his grandson Seth Shaffer; and his siblings, John, Bob, Stephen, Earl, Douglas Shaffer and Mona "Peggy" Atwood.
He is survived by: his wife Linda K. Shaffer (Minnick); his children, Tina Ingram (Rich) of Imler and Michael "Micky" Shaffer (Dawn) of Hyndman; his grandchildren, Bryan Shaffer (Linsey), Tyler Ingram and Katie Ingram; his great grandchildren, Logan, Breydon and Ellie; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" Shaffer, Glenn "Pug" Shaffer (Vickie), Wanda Bistline (Les) of Hyndman, Joyce Pensyl (Stanley) of Hyndman and Martha 'Marce" Johnston (Jim) of North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made Hyndman Area Rescue Squad.
