“Gloria and her husband Harry were our neighbors, and when we built a new house, they bought ours. They were good and generous people. A friendly person, Gloria served as a social secretary of her parish church, organizing events that my mother really enjoyed. She wrote very amusing Christmas letters featuring the adventures of her cat, Snowball, and entertained us with organ recitals when we visited. Proud to be an American, she was often dressed in red, white, and blue.”
