He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen G. Knepper (Mellott) and Harry S. Knepper; his son Ben D. Knepper; and his sister Sally Baker. He is survived by: his wife Ruth M. Knepper (Booth); his sons, Barry A. and Scott P.; his siblings, Doretta, Neva and Henry; and his grandchildren, David, Jacoby, Sarah, Faithe and Daniel Knepper.
