He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Prough and Hulda Prough (Edwards); his wife Annabelle Prough (Flenner); his daughter Loretta Prough; and his siblings, Mylven (Edward Prough), Wilda Keorth, Cynthia Robinson and Isabelle Chaney (Gertrude Stewart).
He is survived by: his children, Candy Omlor (Garry) of North Huntingdon and Dr. Richard J. Prough Jr. (Julie) of Bethel Park; his grandchildren, Ann Marie Thompson (Tim) of Whitehall, Cheryl Colaianne (Sam) of North Huntingdon, Brian Omlor (Kristen) of North Huntingdon, Lauren Prough of South Park, Dr. Haley Prough of Lansing, Mich and Saundra Joy DelGross of Texas; and his great grandchildren, Shay, Lori, Skylar, Vincent, Tabitha, Avery, Rylee, Noah James and Cayden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
