He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard M. Lightner and Alice E. Boone (Utley); his stepfather Lewis D. Boone; and his stepsiblings, Ronald, Richard, Daniel Boone and Beverly Coons.
He is survived by: his brother Richard Lightner; his half-brother Robert L. Boone; and his stepsiblings, Dixie McNerlin (Ronald), Mary Suders (Terry) and Terry Boone. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
