She was predeceased by: her sister Lewis "Bud" Johnson; and her children-in-law, Helen Schmidt and Shawn Lyons. She is survived by: her spouse Ralph Louis Schmidt; her children, Ronald Louis Schmidt (Barbara) of Washington, PA, Dennis Ralph Schmidt of Gettysburg and Virginia Lee Lyons (Schmidt) of Pittsburgh; and her grandchildren, Christopher Schmidt (Kimberly), Holly S. Zumbano (Brandon), Heidi S. Mullins, Heather S. Thomas, Justin Schmidt (Amanda), Julie S. Pulliam (Greg), Jennifer Zimmerman (Travis), Ashley Lyons and Travis Lyons (Olivia). She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
